Our Work
In the United States, one in five children lives in a household where access to food is uncertain. Our mission is to create a world where no child has to worry about their next meal. Through our efforts, we provide food assistance to these children and their families, as well as offer support to impoverished communities across the nation. By addressing immediate food needs, we strive to improve the overall standard of living for these families in both the short and long term.
We're dedicated to supporting food-insecure kids in our community with essential resources beyond just meals. While food is crucial, we understand that families also need items like shampoo, soap, toothpaste, and cleaning products to make ends meet.
With our planned distribution centers situated right here in our region, we're able to efficiently deliver these much-needed resources to families in both urban neighborhoods and rural areas nearby. Our focus is on providing assistance where it's needed most, helping families in our local community to thrive despite challenging circumstances.
Our overarching mission is to eradicate childhood food insecurity and hunger, both within our nation and on a global scale. We are dedicated to implementing sustainable solutions that address the root causes of this critical issue, striving to ensure that every child has access to nutritious food for a healthy and fulfilling life. Through our comprehensive efforts, we aim to create a world where no child goes to bed hungry, regardless of geographical location or socioeconomic status.
The summer months pose significant challenges for hungry children and their families. While nearly 30 million students in America rely on free or reduced-price meals during the school year, many of these children face hunger when classes are not in session. Studies indicate that summer hunger and food insecurity can result in physical and mental health issues, ultimately impacting educational performance upon their return to school.
During the back-to-school season, approximately nine million children in the U.S. will grapple with food insecurity. Families already facing food insecurity find it increasingly challenging to manage as grocery store prices continue to climb.
To support these students and families, our School Resource Rooms offer healthy snacks and household essentials. Additionally, teachers receive complimentary supplies and classroom necessities, ensuring access to nutritious snacks for their students.
